i study the air
each morning
i
contemplate the
hidden
light
of the
coming
day
the second life will
be the
last

i observe
the ducks forelorn
standing
in the
receeding
pool
the ducks observe
me
in my
window
forelorn
at their passage
*
the study
of a man
walking his
dog
continues
the
view
is from above
along the morning
shadows
the animal is
erratic
eager the
man unsteady
