The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for December 2014

until i
am another
memorial

tucked into
the kitchen
wainscot

laminated
waiting
to be swept
up or stuck
behind the
plumber's
business card

until someone
cleans the junk
drawer and
re-arranges the
silverware

until the
paint is
refreshed and
the floors re-finished
and the windows
cleaned

caulked

sealed

until then
i'll sit
and listen to
the past
             playing
in my ears

look at pictures

expecting nothing

but what's
coming
