The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for April 2013

Two Fragments for Spring

the fountain blossoms
in the dark
reaching for
     freedom
     escaping from
     pressures moving
     and static

it marks our
darkest hours
and later days
of watching
     tending
     questioning and
     dreaming

while its
handmaidens
drone
beneath

eating is like
breathing except
     it's solid
     and
     intermittent
and involves
more than one
hole
