The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for June 2012

life is running
on at the mouth my
time is running out with
it
to a bar some
where to have a drink or
to a salute
to any one
of a number of
past flags

circumferences
shrink along
with other
vital parts

the rain seems
incessant
the grass insouciant
the rotary
reluctant

checks fail
to balance weights
fail to measure

some
champions
in decline
nonetheless
succeed

     [gratified
     subdued
     applause]
