The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for October 2007

i come
to contemplate
the detrious surrounding
my life

scattered through
my spaces
organized and pruned,

attentively
assembled at
random

like movies
seen once and
waiting to be
watched again

[like notes
unfiled
           books
never read all
dreams for
gotten]

thinned and
fat with portents
of the past and
new visions
waiting,
            culled
of irrelevance
fraught

with the suggestion
of time
itself accumulated
then
left alone

to turn to dust

neglected
free associations from the synapses left
behind
           the
holiness
of private poetry

[it’s all i
can do to
shift and
stack and
straighten take
one out put
two together]

solemn
objects all

as still
and calm
as full of
meaning as
                 my
life itself
