The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for November 2003

AGENDA

obsessed about
symmetry
geometric
perfection
re
   production

batteries and time
all running down

ink running
out in the
reign
       of
madness [not
quite] supported

it’s all about
edges and
movement
                 movies

sunshine
             leaves
dripping
something
                not
quite remembered
missing [something]
in the detail
imperfection
in
vestment(s)
                  gray
black
clouds moving
under blue
                sky
birds

squalling
in the gusts
rain
drops scattering

late train
wet hair
no reason
sleeping
            season

the critical
room rolling
through
the morning
the satellite
receiver
gives
back, pauses
resumes
and fails
again and
again

the darkness
makes the
                lights
seem dim

the entertainment
                          churns
the battle to
completion
turns on the
randomness
of time
the steadiness
of entropy

[the scattering

of rain drops

and unread titles
waiting on
the table]
