The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for July 2000

spontaneous poem #104

the sun sets
behind the
hancock
from the
east

on the
island
the tower
is isolated
the orange
sun
in line

the circling
blimp
and
landing
planes

chatter
on deck

time
to write

sea birds
taking the
air on
the bouy

gawking
beaks agape
(or
is it
greek

agape)

"what
is it
love or
is it it
or love"

or
just
the sunset
and
my dream

spin and
launch

homeward
bound

visions

pissing
watching
out the
porthole
time
goes by

gas passes
somewhere
Pedro
is pitching

no
quotes
just
poetry

at the
landing
sail
slips away
engine
featherd

"hi
matt"

hit the slip
clear
the deck
