The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for December 1996

the woman in
black now
blonde her
smokey brows
original and
lustrous
eyes con
firm
       (re
vealing) the
poet's past
the limits of today
's weak heart
forgotten in his
first true smile
but only to
himself
in months
